The bill passed by a 215-214 vote after intense internal GOP negotiations and last-minute amendments. This means big tax relief to all Americans. State and Local Tax (SALT) Deduction: The bill increases the SALT deduction cap to $40,000 for incomes under $500,000, up from the previous $10,000 cap. The bill includes an expanded, inflation-adjusted Child Tax Credit, enhanced standard deduction, and tax relief for tips, overtime, auto loan interest, and seniors.
