Let’s talk over a cup of coffee.
The severe storms and tornadoes that ripped through the Midwest, especially Kentucky, were devastating and made us appreciate our calm weather more. This week saw the shocking bombing at the fertility clinic in Palm Springs. I feel it’s terrifying to think something like that could happen, though thankfully, most people are okay. If you're wondering how I spent my week and maybe looking for a bit of inspiration, I rolled up my sleeves and got outside. I took time to plant flowers and trees that will grow strong and beautiful. There’s something deeply American about tending to the land, nurturing beauty, and leaving a little piece of this country better than we found it.

Pour Over Life
In a time when some voices champion nihilism, the belief that life is meaningless, and antinatalism, which argues against bringing new life into the world, it’s worth stepping back and reaffirming a timeless truth.
Life is essential, and its sanctity is the cornerstone of a thriving society.
While these philosophies question the value of existence, the American spirit answers with resilience, purpose, and hope. This nation was built not on despair, but on the conviction that each life holds potential, promise, and the power to shape a better future.
From battlefields to breakthroughs, Americans have proven that meaning is not something we inherit, it’s something we create. We honor life not by questioning its worth, but by building families, serving communities, and striving for progress.
Let’s remember more on this Memorial Day weekend. Even when sometimes we live in a world full of doubt, let us choose conviction. Because here in the land of the free, life is not only meaningful; it’s sacred.
